Title: Alaska Judicial Review of Oil Revenue Amendment
Vote to adopt an amendment that establishes a procedure for the State of Alaska to follow if they decide to ask for an increase in their percentage of revenues from oil and gas leasing and production in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR).
- Gives the State of Alaska up to 90 days after the enactment of S 1932 to file a civil action to request a percentage increase in revenues paid to Alaska.
- Temporarily prohibits the leasing or production of oil and gas from ANWR after a civil action is filed.
- Prohibits the leasing or production of oil and gas from ANWR if the court decides that Alaska's percentage of revenues should be increased.
