Title: Child Safety Lock Amendment
Vote to adopt an amendment that requires all licensed importers, manufacturers and dealers who engage in the transfer of handguns to provide secure gun storage or safety devices.
- Provides immunity from civil liability to individuals who lawfully possess handguns and use secure gun storage or safety devices (Sec. 5).
- Imposes penalties for violations, including license suspension for a period of at least six months, license revocation, or a maximum fine of $2,500 (Sec. 5).
