Vote to adopt an amendment making yearly evaluations of student performance a requirement in order to qualify for education flexibility waivers.
- Declares that education flexibility waivers shall be granted only after schools have adopted numerical standards for measuring student achievement.
- Establishes as an objective the reduction of achievement gaps between groups divided by race, ethnicity, sex, English proficiency status, migrant status, and socioeconomic status.
