Vote Smart's Synopsis:

Vote to adopt an amendment that prohibits population planning assistance to any foreign organization. The amendment certifies that the United States will not try to alter the abortion laws of any foreign country.

Highlights:
  • Prohibits the United States from donating to the United Nations Population Fund while it is active in the People's Republic of China, unless there have been no coerced abortions associated with family planning policies of the People's Republic of China.
