Title: Bipartisan Committee to Investigate Hurricane Katrina
Vote to pass a resolution that creates a bipartisan committee to review conduct, and report on the Federal, State, and local responses to Hurricane Katrina.
- Stipulates that the Commission be composed of 20 individuals appointed by the Speaker of the House, of whom 9 will be selected after discussion with the Minority Leader (Sec. 2).
- Requires that the Commission's final report be presented no later than February 15, 2006 (Sec. 3).
- Allows for $500,000 to be allocated out of appropriate House accounts for committee purposes (Sec. 6).
