Title: National Uniformity for Food Act

Vote to pass a bill allowing the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to establish national food safety warning standards.
- Requires states to follow all FDA food warning standards 180 days after the bill becomes law (Sec. 2).
- Allows states to petition for an exemption or to create a national food warning standard (Sec. 2).
- Allows states to establish an "imminent hazard to health" notification requirement on food products, if the product may have serious health effects or death (Sec. 2).
- Declares that states may still impose regulations and notices dealing with mercury content in fish and shellfish (Sec. 4).
