Vote to adopt a conference report that allocates and directs funding for military programs.
- Instructs the Secretary of Defense to inform the proper congressional committees at least 30 days prior to any military exercise relating U.S. personnel if construction costs are expected to exceed $100,000.
- Trusts the Secretary to report to the congressional appropriations committees on procedures planned by the Department of Defense in order for nations of NATO, Japan, Korea, and other U.S. allies bordering the Arabian Sea to take on a greater share of the common defense burden of such nations and the United States.
- Bans commitment or spending of any funds appropriated for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Security Investment Program for missile defense studies.
