Vote to pass a bill that would ease numerous banking regulations.
- Allows an individual to become the director of a subchapter S national bank as long as the individual has at least $1,000 debt issued by the bank (Sec. 101).
- Requires saving associations to adhere to the same investment-advisor and broker-dealer registration requirements as banks (Sec. 209).
- Expands the investment opportunities and services that may be offered by credit unions (Secs. 301-313).
