Title: Minimum Wage Increase bill
Vote to pass a bill that would increase the minimum wage, and for other purposes.
- Increases the minimum wage from $5.15 per hour to $6.15 per hour by April 2001.
- Exempts certain workers who work overtime, such as "inside sales" employees, computer professionals, funeral directors and licensed embalmers, from minimum wage.
NOTE: HR 3846 was combined with HR 3081 (Small Business Tax Relief bill) to form H Res 434 (Minimum Wage and Tax Revision bill).
