Title: Small Business and Employee Fairness bill
Vote to pass a bill that alters policies of the National Labor Relations Board and allows employers to refuse to hire applicants whose main purpose is to organize other employees.
- Requires the National Labor Relations Board to resolve all cases in which an employee alleges he or she was fired because of an attempt to encourage or discourage union membership within 365 days.
- Mandates the National Labor Relations Board to conduct individual hearings to determine the appropriateness of bargaining units in specific locations.
- Allows successful defendants in National Labor Relations Board suits to recover legal fees and court costs if they have fewer than 100 employees and less than $1.4 million in net worth.
