Vote to adopt a concurrent resolution directing the President to remove U.S. troops from the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina by June 30, 1998.
Recognizes that under Article I, Section 8, of the U.S. Constitution, Congress has the sole power to declare war, and that a state of war has not been declared in the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Exempts from removal a limited number of military personnel stationed in the area in order to protect diplomatic facilities and U.S. citizens.
Further exempts from removal noncombatant personnel in order to advise the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Commander in the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
