Vote to pass a bill that increases the minimum wage to $7.50 by September 1, 2008 and also increases the estate tax exemption from $100,000 to $200,000.

Highlights:
-Increases the maximum wage claim amount for Department of Labor Commissioner assignments to $6,000 [sec.4(a)]. -Strikes the previous state law that exempted employers under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act from application of minimum wage provisions [sec.2]. -Increases the minimum wage for employees under age 20 to $6.20 by September 1, 2008 during the employees' initial 90 consecutive calendar days of employment [sec.3(l)(4)].
