Highlights:
-Requires all health care facilities to inform sexual assault survivors the availability of emergency contraception in a timely manner [Sec. 2]. -Encourages health care facilities to train emergency room staff about emergency contraception “and the time-sensitive nature of the drug” [Sec. 2]. -Encourages rape crisis hot lines and other counseling facilities to provide information on the availability of emergency contraception [Sec. 2]. -Exempts professionals who have religious or moral objections from having to inform the sexual assault survivor about emergency contraception [Sec. 2].
