Vote to pass a bill that requires insurance coverage for 12-month refills of contraceptive drugs that are obtained at one time.

Highlights:

• Requires that beginning on January 1, 2018 all health insurance policies and Medicaid plans providing coverage for contraceptive drugs must reimburse the insured for a 12-month refill obtained at one time, unless the insured or their doctor requests otherwise (Sec. 1).

• Requires contracts with managed care plans to allow on-site dispensing of the prescribed contraceptive drugs at family practice clinics, if available (Sec. 2).
