Highlights:

  • Defines a sanctuary policy as a practice or rule adopted by a private college or university which prohibits or restricts school officials and employees from communicating or cooperating with federal officials and law enforcement officials regarding a student’s information if that student is believed to be (Sec. 1):
    • Violating state or federal laws;

    • Involved in domestic terrorism.
  • Requires the state to withhold state and state-administered federal funding from private colleges and universities that implement or enforce sanctuary policies (Sec. 1).
