Vote to pass a bill that authorizes an individual to vote online.

Highlights:

• Authorizes an individual to use an electronic voter registration portal established by the Secretary of State to register to vote or update voter registration information (Sec. 2).

• Requires the Secretary of State to verify applicant information by cross-referencing information submitted by applicants with information contained in a local, federal, Rhode Island or other state database (Sec. 2).

• Authorizes the Secretary of State to enter into an agreement and exchange information with any other state in order to register voters and update the voter register (Sec. 2).
