Vote to pass a bill that prohibits fetal tissue from being sold or used for research and experimentation.

Highlights:

• Prohibits an individual from accepting compensation for the sale, distribution, or use of fetal remains for the purpose of research, therapy, transplantation, or “experimentation” (Sec. 5).

• Defines “experimentation” as the use of an unborn fetus or such bodily remains in any procedure with the goal of validating or refuting a hypothesis, excluding for the purpose of treatment, medication, or improving the life or health of the fetus or patient (Sec. 3).

• Classifies a violation of the provisions of this bill as a Class D felony (Sec. 6).
