Vote to pass a bill that establishes tolls on large commercial trucks on the highway.

Highlights:

• Establishes a toll on a “large commercial truck” of the following amounts (Sec. 2):
• A payment of $20 daily if an individual travels I-95 only; or
• A maximum payment of $40 daily.

• Defines “large commercial truck” as a vehicle classification including vehicles within Class 8 and Class 13, pursuant with the definition set up by Federal Highway Commission (Sec. 2).

• Establishes the Rhode Island Bridge Replacement, Reconstruction, and Maintenance Fund for the collection of the following funds (Sec. 2):
• Funds received through the collection of tolls on bridges in Rhode Island;
• Funds received through fees, fines, or penalties collected due to evasion of tolls; and
• Funds received through investment earnings on amounts credited to the fund.
