Vote to pass a bill that prohibits an individual from performing an abortion based solely on the gender, race, or disability of the fetus.

Highlights:

• Prohibits a physician from performing an abortion on a patient who is seeking the abortion solely because of the race, color, national origin, ancestry, gender, or potential disability of the fetus, including a Down syndrome diagnosis (Sec. 11).

• Exempts an abortion from the provisions of this bill in the case of a lethal fetal anomaly that would likely result in the death of the child within 3 months of live birth (Secs. 7 & 9).

• Requires the physician who performs an abortion in the case of a lethal fetal anomaly to provide information about perinatal hospice care services to the patient orally and in-person, at least 18 hours before the abortion (Sec. 9).

• Classifies the act of intentionally acquiring, receiving, selling, or transferring fetal tissue as a Level 5 felony, except in the case of proper medical disposal (Sec. 14).
