Vote to pass a bill that requires an individual to establish a domicile 30 days prior to an election to be able to vote, effective immediately.

Highlights:

• Requires an individual to establish a “domicile” in the state at least 30 consecutive days prior to an election to be eligible to vote (Sec. 1).
• Defines “domicile” as the principal or primary home or place of abode that an individual inhabits fixatedly and to which that individual intends to return to when that individual is temporarily absent (Sec. 1).
• Prohibits an individual from claiming a domicile in the state if there is evidence that an individual is temporarily present in the state for a vacation, short-term temporary work, or service for social or civic purposes or political campaigns (Sec. 1).
