Title: Decriminalizes Possession of Small Amounts of Marijuana
Vote to pass a bill that classifies possession of a personal use quantity of marijuana as a civil offense.
Classifies intentional possession of a personal use quantity of a controlled substance as a civil violation punishable by a fine of $100 (Sec. 2).
Classifies intentional consumption of a personal use quantity of a controlled substance in a public place as an unclassified misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than $200 and not more than 5 days in prison (Sec. 2).
Classifies possession of drug paraphernalia for the consumption of a personal use quantity of marijuana as a civil violation punishable by a fine of not more than $100 (Sec. 3).
Specifies that information regarding such violations shall not appear on an individual’s criminal record (Sec. 2).
