Vote to pass a bill that prohibits a public entity from distributing family planning and related preventative health services funds to clinics that provide abortions.

Highlights:

• Prohibits public entities from distributing family planning and related preventative health services funds under Title X to other public or private entities that provide any of the following services (Sec. 1):
• The entity provides abortion services;
• The entity provides referrals for abortion services; and
• The entity provides affiliates that can provide abortion services or referrals for abortion services.

• Requires the department to distribute family planning and related preventative health services funds under Title X to the Well Woman Program and public entities for family planning and preventative health services, including, but not limited to the following services (Sec. 1):
• Screening for cervical cancer and breast cancer;
• Screening for high blood pressure, anemia, and diabetes; and
• Screening for sexually transmitted diseases, HIV or AIDs. 

• Authorizes an employee of a public or private entity to refuse to offer family planning services if it is contrary to his or her personal beliefs (Sec. 1).

• Requires a supervisor to reassign the duties of an employee if he or she refuses to offer family planning services (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that a refusal to offer family planning services is not grounds for dismissal, suspension, demotion or discrimination in employment (Sec. 1).
