Title: Establishes the California New Motor Voter Program

Vote to pass a bill that establishes the California New Motor Voter Program to automatically register eligible voters.
Highlights:
- Requires the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to provide the Secretary of State electronic records of each citizen who obtains an original or renewed driver’s license or state identification card (Sec. 1).
- Requires the Secretary of State to provide the DMV records to the county elections official of the county where the individual may be registered to vote (Sec. 1).
- Requires the Secretary of State to notify an individual whose records are sent to a county elections official that he or she will be automatically registered to vote, unless the individual declines to be registered within 21 days of the notification (Sec. 1).
