Title: Highway and Transportation Funding Act of 2015

Vote to pass a bill to provide an extension of Federal-aid highway funding.

Highlights:

  • Amends the Highway and Transportation Funding Act of 2014 to continue from October 1, 2014, through December 18, 2015, and authorizes appropriations through that period for, specified federal-aid highway programs under the following, including (Title I, Sec. 1001):

    • the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21),

    • the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU) Technical Corrections Act of 2008,

    • SAFETEA-LU,

    • the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century (TEA-21),

    • the National Highway System Designation Act of 1995,

    • the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991 (ISTEA), and

    • other specified law.

  • Amends the Internal Revenue Code to extend through December 19, 2015, the authority for expenditures from (Title II, Sec. 2001):

    • The Highway and Mass Transit Accounts of the Highway Trust Fund;

    • The Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund; and

    • The Leaking Underground Storage Tank Trust Fund.

 

  • Amends and revises aviation security service passenger fee requirements. (Title III, Sec. 3001).
