Vote to pass a bill that establishes certain greenhouse gas emission regulations.

Highlights:

• Requires the State Air Resource Board to approve a “greenhouse gas emissions limit” that is equivalent to 40 percent below the 1990 level by 2030 and 80 percent below by 2050 (Sec. 2).

• Defines “greenhouse gas emissions limit” as the maximum allowable emission level of the following gases as determined by the board (Sec. 1):
• Carbon dioxide;
• Methane;
• Nitrous oxide;
• Hydrofluorocarbons;
• Perfluorocarbons;
• Sulfur hexafluoride; and
• Nitrogen trifluoride.
