Vote to pass a bill that requires a 24-hour waiting period prior to an abortion, effective July 1, 2015.

Highlights:

• Requires a physician performing an abortion to personally inform the individual seeking an abortion of information regarding probable gestational age and informed consent at least 24 hours before the procedure (Sec. 1).

• Exempts a physician from the 24-hour waiting period if the individual seeking an abortion presents certain evidence that she is a victim of rape, incest, domestic violence, or human trafficking, including the following evidence (Sec. 1):
• A copy of a restraining order;
• A copy of a police report; 
• A copy of a medical record; or
• A copy of a court order.
