Vote to pass a bill that prohibits the use of unmanned traffic speed enforcement cameras, effective July 1, 2015.

Highlights:

• Prohibits an unmanned traffic enforcement camera that monitors speed from being used to issue a citation to an individual violating the speed limit on a public road or highway, except in the following areas (Sec. 1):
• An area within the designated distance of a marked school zone; or
• An area within an “S-curve” of a public road or highway.

• Defines “S-curve” as a bend in a public road or highway in the shape of an “S” that inhibits a driver’s full vision through the bend (Sec. 1).
