Vote to pass a bill that requires a website operator that disseminates third-party multimedia works to provide his or her contact information, effective July 1, 2015.

Highlights:

• Requires an individual who owns or operates a website or online service dealing in the electronic dissemination of third-party commercial recordings or audiovisual works to clearly disclose the following information in a location “readily accessible” to a consumer (Sec. 1):
• His or her name;
• His or her physical address; and
• His or her telephone number or e-mail address.

• Classifies the following locations as readily accessible to a consumer (Sec. 1):
• On a landing or home web page or screen;
• On an “about” or “about us” web page or screen;
• On a “contact” or “contact us” web page or screen;
• On an information web page or screen; or
• On another place of the website or online service commonly used to display identifying information to consumers.
