Title: Reduces Individual and Corporate Income Taxes

Vote to pass a bill that reduces individual and corporate income tax rates for taxable years beginning after December 31, 2014.

Highlights:

  • Amends the formula used to calculate individual income tax rates (Sec. 2). 
  • Reduces the tax rate on taxable income for domestic and foreign corporations in the following ways (Sec. 1):
    • From 1.48 to 1.41 percent, for the first $25,000;
    • From 3.75 to 3.55 percent, for the second $25,000; and
    • From 4.53 to 4.31 percent, for income in excess of $50,000.
