Vote to pass a bill that prohibits payroll deductions by a "state agency" from state employee wages for membership dues in any public employee organization, effective November 1, 2015.

Highlights:

  • Defines “state agency” as including, but not limited to, the following entities (Sec. 1):
    • A state office;
    • A state court;
    • A state institution;
    • A state public school district;
    • The Oklahoma State System of Higher Education; and
    • The State Board of Career and Technology Education.
  • Prohibits any state agency from making payroll deductions, or withholding funds on behalf of state employees for membership dues, in any public employee association, organization, or professional organization that collectively bargains on behalf of its members (Sec. 1).
