Highlights:

• Authorizes a woman to have an abortion within 24 weeks from the commencement of her pregnancy or when necessary to protect her life as determined by a licensed physician (Sec. 1). 
• Prohibits the state from denying a woman’s right to obtain an abortion as established by the United States Supreme Court decision Roe V. Wade (Sec. 1).
• Specifies that the provisions in this bill will not conflict with any state or federal regulation permitting a health care provider to refrain from providing an abortion due to the provider’s religious or moral beliefs (Sec. 1).
