Vote to pass a bill that prohibits a public school student from using a restroom designated for the opposite biological sex.

Highlights:

• Prohibits a public school student from using a restroom, locker room, or shower room designated for the opposite biological sex (Sec. 1).

• Requires a school to provide the “best available” accommodation for a student who communicates to school officials that his or her gender is different from his or her biological sex and has received written consent from a parent or guardian, including, but not limited to, the following accommodations (Sec. 1):
• Access to a single-stall restroom;
• Access to a unisex restroom; or
• Controlled access to a faculty restroom, locker room, or shower room.
