Vote to pass a bill that authorizes an individual who has been convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI) to petition after 5 years have elapsed after the conviction to have his or her conviction record expunged, whereas existing law prohibits an individual convicted of driving under the influence from petitioning for expungement until after 10 years.
