Vote to repass a bill, after having concurred with Senate amendments thereto, that establishes a moratorium on the construction of a wind-powered generating station.

Highlights:

• Prohibits the Public Service Commission from approving a certificate the for construction of a wind-powered generating station that is a certain height and distance from the Patuxent Naval Air Station including, but not limited to, the following parameters (Sec. 1):
• 0 feet tall within 24 miles;
• 100 feet tall within 24 to 30 miles; and
• 700 feet tall within 49 to 56 miles. 

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill do not apply to the construction of a wind-powered generating station begun on or before March 10, 2014 (Sec. 2).

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill expire on July 1, 2015 (Sec. 3).
