Vote to pass a bill that establishes an interstate health care compact and commission.

Highlights:

• Specifies that an interstate health care compact shall be effective on its adoption by at least 2 “member states” and with the consent of the United States Congress (Sec. 1).

• Defines “member state” as a state that is signatory to the compact and has adopted it under the laws of that state (Sec. 1).

• Establishes the “Interstate Advisory Health Care Commission” which consists of no more than 2 representatives from each member state who each receive 1 vote, and requires the Commission to meet at least once a year (Sec. 1).

• Authorizes all member states of the Commission to suspend the operation of all federal laws regarding health care that are “inconsistent” with legislation adopted by the members states pursuant to the compact (Sec. 1).
