  • Requires all public universities and community colleges to develop a plan of action to prevent unintended and unmarried pregnancies among teenagers between 18 and 19 years of age by November 3, 2014 (Sec. 1).
  • Requires all state agencies to cooperate with the effort to reduce unintended and unmarried pregnancies and provide assistance, information, and data as necessary (Sec. 1).
  • Requires a public university or community college to include within their plan of action information including, but not limited to, the following (Sec. 1):
    • Information regarding unplanned pregnancy prevention in student success courses and orientation;
    • Information regarding the prevention of unplanned pregnancy in academic courses, if and when appropriate; and
    • Information regarding opportunities to raise awareness and provide resources about preventing unplanned pregnancies.
  • Requires the Commissioner of Higher Education and the Executive Director of the Mississippi Community College Board to present the plan of action to the Legislature no later than November 3, 2014 (Sec. 1).
