Vote to pass a bill that submits a constitutional amendment to the voters that establishes term limits for the positions of House Speaker and Senate President, effective January 1, 2015.

  • Prohibits an individual from serving in the position of either House Speaker or Senate President Pro Tempore for more than 2 General Assembly terms (Secs. 1 & 2).
  • Requires the state to submit these amendments to the qualified voters of North Carolina at the general election in November 2014 (Sec. 3).
