Vote to pass a bill that prohibits unauthorized entry on industrial or agricultural property, effective July 1, 2013.

Highlights:
  • Prohibits an individual who does not have a contractual interest in a property from entry into the property by way of a fence, a wall, or other constructed barrier that “reasonably” implies entry is prohibited (Sec. 1).
  • Specifies that a prospective employee who knowingly or intentionally submits an application to a prospective employer and makes a false statement about a material fact or conceals a material fact in the application in order to secure employment with the prospective employer commits employment application fraud (Sec. 3).
  • Classifies a violation of this bill as a Class A misdemeanor (Secs. 1-3).
