Vote to pass a bill that submits a constitutional amendment to the voters that amends the legislature's salary setting capabilities, effective January 1, 2017.

Highlights:

• Amends the constitution to require a council consisting of the following members to prescribe the salary of senators and representatives (Sec. 1):
• 1 individual from each congressional district appointed by the state Supreme Court who is not a judge; and
• 1 member from each congressional district appointed by the governor. 

• Requires the constitutional amendment to remove legislators’ ability to set their own salaries to be approved by voters in the 2016 general election (Sec. 2).
