Vote to pass a bill that appropriates funds for fiscal year 2014.

Highlights:

  • Limits an individual's eligibility for Reach Up participation to 60 months unless one of the following circumstances applies (Sec. E.323):
    • The participant is unable to work;
    • The participant is affected by domestic violence; or
    • The primary caretaker is in a 2 parent family where 1 parent is able to work part-time or is unable to work, is a single parent, or cares for a child older than 6 months and younger than 24 months while participating in a family development plan.
  • Specifies that individuals who reach the 60 month cumulative eligibility within the Reach Up program are still eligible for child-only grants and case management services (Sec. E.323).
  • Prohibits the 60 month cumulative eligibility for Reach Up from beginning until participants reach 22 years of age (Sec. E.323).
  • Authorizes the Commissioner to waive the 60 month cap on benefits if he or she finds that a family is in need of continued assistance (Sec. E.323).
