Vote to adopt a conference report that adds employment program participation as a requirement for TANF eligibility and requires the Department of Health and Human Services to establish a sanction policy for individuals receiving aid that are not complying with the program requirements. The bill also changes the individuals who are exempt for employment requirements and specifies that the exemptions be in effect for a 40 month time period. The bill also appropriates $500,000 to support the 2-parent families enrolled in TANF.
