Vote to pass a bill that increases the minimum wage, effective January 1, 2014.

  • Requires an employer to pay each employee a wage of at least $9.00 per hour (Sec. 1).
  • Requires an employer to pay each food service employee receiving tips a wage of at least $6.21 per hour (Sec. 1).
  • Requires the Industrial Commissioner to annually increase the minimum wage by the rate of inflation using the Consumer Price Index, beginning January 1, 2015 (Sec. 1).
