Title: Reduces Funds for the Oklahoma Educational Television Authority

Vote to pass a bill that reduces funds to the Oklahoma Education Television Authority, beginning November 1, 2013.

Highlights:

  • Reduces funding to the Oklahoma Education Television Authority (OETA) for fiscal years 2016 through 2018 by the following percentages based on the amount appropriated in fiscal year 2014 (Sec. 1):
    • 5 percent for fiscal year 2016; and
    • 10 percent for fiscal years 2017 and 2018.
  • Reduces funding to the OETA for fiscal years 2019 through 2022 by the following percentages based on the amount appropriated in fiscal year 2014 (Sec. 1):
    • If the legislature determines the OETA has succeeded in securing funds from other sources to supplant the reduction in appropriations:
      • 10 percent for fiscal years 2019 and 2020;
      • 20 percent for fiscal year 2021; and
      • 35 percent for fiscal year 2022.
    • If the legislature determines the OETA has not succeeded in securing funds from other sources to supplant the reduction in appropriations:
      • 20 percent for fiscal years 2019 through 2021; and
      • 15 percent for fiscal year 2022.
  • Rescinds appropriations to the Oklahoma Education Television Authority, effective fiscal year 2022 (Sec. 1).
