Title: Requires County Board Approval for Bison Relocation
Vote to pass a bill that requires the Board of County Commissioners to approve the relocation of wild buffalo or wild bison, effective immediately.
- Prohibits the Department of Livestock or the Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Parks from relocating wild buffalo or bison to any county unless the relocation has first been approved by that county’s Board of County Commissioners (Secs. 1-3).
- Requires the state veterinarian to certify wild buffalo or bison as brucellosis-free before the animals may be relocated (Secs. 1 & 2).
