Title: Limits Drivers With Restricted Permits To 1 Passenger
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits minors with restricted permits from driving with more than 1 passenger.
- Prohibits minors with restricted permits from driving with more than 1 passenger under 18 years of age unless they are accompanied by an individual who is 21 years or older and either (Sec. 1):
- A parent or guardian; or
- An individual whose primary residence is the same as the permit holder.
- Exempts a passenger who is either a member of the permit holder's immediate family or an individual whose primary residence is the same as the permit holder's (Sec. 1).
- Exempts a permit holder who is driving to school or a school event (Sec. 1).
