Title: Biomonitoring Program
Vote to concur with the Assembly's amendments and pass a bill that creates the California Environmental Contaminant Program with the purpose of identifying the chemicals that are present in Californians' bodies. The bill requires participation in the study to be voluntary, that the participants statistically represent the state population with regards to "age, economic, racial and ethnic compositions" and that results of the study be reported to the Legislature every two years beginning on January 1, 2010 and disseminated to the public. The bill also stipulates that implementation of the program is dependent on funding being provided in the general budget.
