Vote to pass a bill that prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity, effective July 1, 2013.

Highlights:
  • Prohibits discrimination based on the sexual orientation or gender identity of an individual in circumstances that include, but are not limited to, the follow (Sec. 2):
    • When an individual obtains employment;
    • When an individual obtains education;
    • When an individual uses public accommodations; and
    • When an individual is selected for a position on a jury.
  • Exempts religious organizations and institutions from the provisions of this bill (Sec. 1).
