Vote to pass a bill that authorizes Internet gaming in Atlantic City casinos.
- Authorizes any game or gambling game already played in a casino to be offered through Internet gaming with the approval of the Division of Gaming Enforcement (Sec. 2).
- Requires the entire Internet gaming operation, including facilities, equipment, and computer network, to be offered by a licensed casino in Atlantic City and in a restricted area on the premises of the casino (Secs. 5, 9 & 17).
- Prohibits use of Internet gaming equipment that cannot verify that a player is physically present in the State of New Jersey (Sec. 9).
- Prohibits an individual that is under the age of 21 from having an Internet gaming account (Sec 30).
- Establishes an annual tax on Internet gaming gross revenues of 10 percent, which will be paid into the Casino Revenue Fund (Sec. 13).
- Authorizes the Division of Gaming Enforcement to establish the Office of Internet Gaming responsible for the administration of Internet gaming conducted by casino licensees (Sec. 14).
- Specifies that Internet gaming in the State takes place where a casino’s server is located, regardless of the player’s physical location within this State (Sec. 15).
- Specifies that Internet gaming will remain inoperative until a date selected by the Division of Gambling Enforcement (Sec. 42).
