Vote to adopt an amendment that makes exceptions to the abortion ban when it is necessary to to prevent substantial risk of death or serious impairment to life-sustaining organs, or in cases of incest or rape. The amendment specifies that in cases of rape an abortion may only be performed if the rape victim receives a physical examination within five days of the rape, reports the rape to law enforcement within seven days and obtains the abortion within thirteen weeks of conception. The amendment also specifies that an abortion may be performed with thirteen weeks of conception in the case of incest and it was reported to law enforcement.
