Title: Prohibits the Use of Funds for the Transfer or Release of Individuals Detained at Guantanamo Bay
Vote to adopt an amendment to S 3254 that prohibits the transfer of detainees from Guantanamo Bay to the United States.
- Prohibits the use of funds for the transfer or release of an individual detained at the United States Naval Station at Guantanamo Bay if the individual meets the following criteria:
- The individual is not a United States citizen or a member of the armed forces of the United States; and
- The individual is or was held on or after January 20, 2009 at Guantanamo Bay by the Department of Defense.
